How the Wage Is Built Up
Example: Unskilled worker, monthly figures. The union territory adds a flat Special Allowance of Rs 35 per day (about Rs 910 per month) on top of Basic.

4 Things Every Employer Here Must Do

Pay at or above the notified rate
Apply the current uniform rate per skill level including the Special Allowance. Update payroll from each notification effective date. Pay arrears from the effective date if the notification publishes late.

Maintain statutory registers
Keep Muster Roll, Wage Register with Basic and Special Allowance separated, Deductions and Overtime registers under the local labour rules. Preserve records for 3 years.

Pay within the wage cycle
Wages payable by 7th of next month (under 1,000 workers) or 10th (1,000 plus) under the Payment of Wages Act, 1936. Overtime at twice the ordinary rate under Section 14.

Display the wage notice
Post the current minimum wage notice in Gujarati, Hindi, and English at the workplace within 30 days of revision.
