4 Things Every Chhattisgarh Employer Must Do
01

02
Maintain statutory registers
Keep Form I (Muster Roll), Form II (Wage Register with Basic + VDA separated), Form III (Deductions), Form IV (Overtime) under the Chhattisgarh Minimum Wages Rules. Preserve for 3 years.
03
Pay within the wage cycle

Cost of Underpayment in Chhattisgarh
Section 22 of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 applies. The Chhattisgarh Labour Department inspects steel, mining, power, and construction units.
Zone Jurisdiction Note
Rate applies by the employee physical work location, not the company registered address. Workers in Bhilai or Korba follow Zone A even if your office sits elsewhere.
Chhattisgarh hosts large steel and power clusters with active inspection. Run a payslip audit at every April and October cycle.
Chhattisgarh Flat VDA Trend
Six-month VDA notification, latest first. Same flat VDA applies to all skills and zones.
Earlier-period VDA figures are indicative. Confirm exact prior amounts against the matching Chhattisgarh notification.
